Join us Sunday, April 3rd, as Ron Coleman presents: Patrick Henry, The Forgotten Founding Father. Come and rediscover Patrick Henry, and his impact on founding America as we know it. This nearly forgotten founding father was a lawyer, orator, politician, and patriot who led the movement for independence in Virginia in the 1770s. It is always important to remember those who founded this great country, and those who had a vast influence on shaping our society. Patrick Henry played a vital role in promoting the American Revolution and Independence. His “Give me Liberty, or give me Death!” speech is well known today as a key factor during the Revolutionary War. Patrick Henry was a noble man who also served as the first and sixth governor of Virginia, His first term from 1776 to 1779, and again from 1784 to 1786.
So join us at Smith Mountain Lake State Park as we explore this symbol of America’s struggle for liberty and self-government. Ron Coleman will bring this almost forgotten founding father to light, and share some very interesting details about Patrick Henry’s part in the foundation of America. This show is Sunday, April 3rd, from 3pm – 4pm.
