The fall season is fast approaching, and the Smith Mountain Lake community is gearing up for one of the area’s favorite local festivals: the 14th Annual Smith Mountain Lake Fall Chili and Craft Festival.

Slated for Saturday, November 5th at Bridgewater Plaza, this event ushers in both professional and amateur chefs all vying for one of three top honors: “Best Chili,” “People’s Choice,” and “Showmanship.” The event is open to the public and admission is only five dollars at the gate.

A ticket to the event gives visitors the opportunity to sample chili from each vendor. Gates open at 11am and tasting begins at noon. Visitors are encouraged to park at Trinity Ecumenical Parish and take the shuttle to the event as onsite parking is limited. Shuttle services are provided by TNT Auto Body Repair and Service Centers.
